I was born and raised in the United States, as a Latino of Puerto Rican decent and later, converted to Islam as a teenager.

 

My interest for calligraphy and Islamic arts began during that time, exploring different forms of artistic expression. I was intrigued by the striking visuals found in Arabic calligraphy, which combines bold, curvy, and symmetrical lines with beautifully arranged contrasting colors and patterns. More importantly, I was inspired by the spiritual meanings and messages behind this art form which influences my everyday life.

 

Today, I'm based in the beautiful country of Indonesia with my wife and four children, where I keep practicing and sharing my passion for Islamic arts.

 

Weather my work is displayed in your home as a spiritual reminder or it helps someone in need as a result of it's creation, I hope that it will bring an extra ray of light somehow, somewhere on this world.
